Advanced WiFi SON (Self-Organizing Network).
Functional Description
Razer Sila features the latest generation Wave-2 802.11ac with Multi-User (MU)-MIMO, Beamforming, and supports the newest WiFi devices with 160 MHz operation, in addition to conventional 80/40/20 MHz operation. Tri-Band(simultaneous operation on three independent bands: 5GHz-A, 5GHz-B, 2.4GHz)enables Razer Sila to support larger number of devices and more demanding applications such as gaming, and support faster, higher capacity, and longer-range Mesh by simultaneously creating a dedicated backhaul between Mesh nodes and
independent fronthaul or client links connecting devices, eliminating the store-and-forward delay that plagues all other conventional Mesh products.
Superior Range and Coverage: 9x powerful internal antennas, 10x state-of-the-art radios, active beamforming, Wave-2 Multi-User (MU)-MIMO, and next gen Hybrid-Wireless Mesh enable Razer Sila with superior range and coverage. A single Razer Sila can cover an area up to 3,000 sq. ft., and up to 2 more units can be mesh-networked together for coverage up to 9,000 sq. ft.
DFS Spectrum Boost + Active Traffic Avoidance: Patented Multi-Channel Zero-Wait DFS technology enables access to special radar-protected spectrum that is unavailable to most conventional home WiFi routers; with 3x more channels that are free of interference, and a special sensor to detective and avoid traffic and airwave congestion to ensure consistent fast speeds and superior range.
Hybrid-Wireless Mesh: Razer Sila supports aggregated wired and wireless mesh connections, which enables users the flexibility and security of configuring their mesh network with traditional ethernet, wireless or both. Any Razer Sila node in a Mesh network can be connected to any other node with either ethernet or wireless
or both, and similarly any client device (say a hard drive, set top box or laptop) can connect to any node wirelessly or tethered through ethernet. Razer Sila automatically detects the presence of an ethernet connection and chooses the best link (whether ethernet or wireless) to use, and automatically switches link if one link
fails. Additionally, Razer Sila can aggregate WiFi and wireline transport (Ethernet,PLC/G.hn or MoCA) to increase throughput capacity and link resiliency to further expand speed and coverage. A dedicated wireless backhaul link uses separate channels to connect between nodes, allowing the node-to-client links to operate
independently enabling maximum speed without the problem of throughput-splitting speed drop and high lag-time endemic to conventional Mesh systems.
Intelligent Adaptive QoS: Razer Sila features advanced Quality of Service (QoS) with Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) able to identify applications and devices, and continuously and automatically prioritize user’s data, and protect them from interference and congestion, and speeding them across the network, wired and
wirelessly (through WMM), to ensure best speed and latency/lag performance optimized for their favorite games, streaming movies, BitTorrent and downloads, or video & voice calling.
Easy Set-up and Smart App: Razer Sila was designed for easy intuitive set-up.Cloud-based auto-install and self-configuration works with a Smart App (iOS and Android) to provide step-by-step; especially useful for setting up a Mesh network which can be accomplished with a few simple clicks. The Smart App also enables user remote management and access to features like Parental Controls,Guest Networks, Gaming Mode, QoS and monitoring devices and performance.
